Some Birdwatcher Etiquette:

Bird watching has become so popular that it is important to practice good etiquette to help reduce stress on birds and their habitat.

Please remember to tread lightly and practice leave no-trace (don’t leave anything behind) principles when entering bird habitats. Try to stay on trails.

Be extra careful in a potential or active bird nesting area. Human interference can cause stress that prevents birds from breeding.

Respect private property. Bird in parks and other public areas or get permission from landowners before setting out.

Support land conservation efforts. Vote to save habitat and support conservation organizations.
