National Aviary Kids!

1. Get involved with local environmental organizations:

Become a member of the National Aviary. You might ask for a Family Membership as a birthday present.

Learn about joining organizations that share a concern for the environment, like Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts or Roots & Shoots.

2. Support the environment.

Learn about conservation issues in your community or state. Where do your legislators stand on the issues, and do you agree?

3. Pass it on.

Get out in nature. Go on hikes or camping trips with your family.

Don’t pick flowers or collect wild creatures for pets: leave animals and plants where you find them.

Encourage relatives, friends and neighbors to do something good for our planet. Help them plant a tree or build a birdhouse.
