The National Aviary sends an eNewsletter approximately once a month to all who have subscribed to our list. Here’s some information about our list that may be helpful to you:
  • The sole purpose of the National Aviary list is to send our eNewsletter and other pertinent information to list subscribers.
  • Unlike other “listserv” lists you may belong to, it is not possible for any list member to send an email using the National Aviary list. If you do, the email will be rejected, usually with no reason given. You may receive a very cryptic email in response.
  • List hosting is provided by Expedient. You may see the list description and other information here. Note that since postings to this list come only from the National Aviary, it is not necessary to choose or use a password.
  • You may subscribe to the National Aviary list from the Expedient link above or from the online form on the National Aviary website.
  • You may un-subscribe to the National Aviary list from the Expedient link above or from the online form on the National Aviary website. The Unsubscribe button is at the bottom of the form.
  • It is common with listservs that your ISP or your email program may reject outright emails such as those from the National Aviary list, or the emails may be put in your “junk” or “spam” mailbox. If this happens, you may need to specify that mail from nationalaviarylist@lists.expedient.net is not spam (“whitelist” that address).
  • To contact the list owner, send an email to:
    nationalaviarylist-owner@lists.expedient.net.
  • You may also contact the National Aviary Webmaster via the form on the Contact Us page (at the bottom of the page) if you have questions about the National Aviary list.
  • The National Aviary will not share your email address with anyone else.
